Description
Apple Coleslaw Salad is a refreshing and crunchy twist on a classic, blending the crispness of cabbage and carrots with the sweet-tart zing of apples.
Ingredients
2 cup shredded green cabbage
2 cup shredded red cabbage
1 cup grated carrots
2 medium crisp apples, julienned
3/4 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
2 tablespoon granulated sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
Instructions
1. 1. In a large bowl, combine the shredded green cabbage, shredded red cabbage, and grated carrots. Toss to mix the vegetables evenly.
2. 2. Add the julienned apples to the cabbage-carrot mixture, gently incorporating them throughout.
3. 3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, sugar, salt, and black pepper until the dressing is well combined.
4. 4. Pour the dressing over the cabbage-apple mixture and toss to coat everything evenly. Make sure to gently fold the ingredients together to prevent the apples from becoming too bruised.
5. 5. Cover the Apple Coleslaw Salad and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 24 hours, to allow the flavors to meld and the dressing to lightly coat the vegetables.
6. 6. Before serving, give the salad a final toss to distribute the dressing and ensure the ingredients are well combined.
Notes
For added crunch, consider incorporating chopped nuts or dried fruits. You can also customize the dressing to suit your taste preferences.
